2 of my favorite poems on this book are “The Wall” and “the wall (revisited)” They are almost the same thing but the revisited one is a continuation of the first one. The first one is about jessie not trusting everyone so she separates the people she hangs out with and people she avoids with an imaginary wall. There is only five and a half people on her side. Her parents, her cat, her best friend Lisa, her cousin Natalie, and her brother Robert only half of the time. The other half is on the other side.

In “the wall (revisited)” she started taking down her wall and letting some people from the other side in. Now in her Side there is seven people and the volleyball team. Those people are her cat, her parents, Elton Simpson (her crush), the girls on the volleyball team, Robert (when he’s not around), her cousin Natalie, Lisa, and Andrea a cheerleader who actually turned out to be nice.
